During a September 9 product event, Apple announced a new joint venture with French luxury brand Hermès. The two companies will be producing a co-branded version of the Apple Watch in stainless steel featuring a Hermès-designed leather straps and virtual versions of its signature watch faces.
The new watch will be available on October 5 at select Apple and Hermès stores as well as specialty and department stores, and will retail starting from $1,000 to $1,500. The watch will also have an updated operating system, with more faces and greater support for third-party apps, referring to them as “complications.” CJ
