The Diamond Bourse of Canada (DBC) will participate in a delegation of the trade body’s members for the International Diamond Week. The International Diamond Week will take place in September in Israel, and the President of DBC will head the delegation, according to reports by the Diamond World News Service. DBC was previously accepted into the World Federation of Diamond Bourses at the 36th World Diamond Congress that took place in Antwerp, Belgium.
“Canada is a key centre as a diamond producing country, and located in Toronto, it serves as an important distribution point for polished diamonds to reach Canada and also likely the northern, bordering states of the USA,” says IDE president Shmuel Schnitzer, according to the report. Schnitzer noted that DBC’s contribution to the International Diamond Week will hopefully lead to working closely with the Canadian bourse. CJ
