The second annual Test Drive event held by European Design Jewellery can be counted as a huge success, with a crowd larger than last year’s gathering to see what industry leaders from across Europe, have to offer.

The excitement in the atmosphere carried throughout the two-day event, which was held in Toronto on May 28 and 29, as attendees watched demonstrations and also got hands-on experience with some of the newest tools and equipment in the industry.

Swiss company, Vallorbe Swiss, had demonstrations for a full range of products that were being displayed. This included micro-setting systems, burs, gravers, files, flexshafts, and more.

Along with witnessing the laser welders and engravers live in action from Italian company, Orotig, the company also offered guests the chance to save big with special show prices and rates.

Legor Group S.P.A., which also originated in Italy, featured a live plating workshop, and a company technical expert also gave tips.

German company, Elma, had six prizes to give away during the event, including ultrasonics and digital ring sizers.

Austrian company, Swarovski launched its newest gemstone colours and shapes for 2018, while Spanish company, Murua, made its official Canadian debut with a live demonstration of its revolutionary grinding and polishing system.

With such a wide selection of companies and products, it’s easy to see why the Test Drive event attracted so many guests this year, and that it will surely see an even bigger crowd in 2019.
