JVC Crime Report: Three Minute Break-ins on the rise

There has been a significant increase in the number of three-minute break-and-enters in Canada.

The Province of Ontario leads the country in the number of incidents. Police feel organized gangs, travelling to Ontario from Quebec, commit a number of these entries. Authorities have made numerous arrests and have discovered that many of those arrested were living illegally in Canada.

Three-minute entries are incidents where a location is broken into and the suspect leaves within three minutes because they suspect it would take that much time for the alarm company to notify the authorities and for the police to be dispatched.
