Canadian jewellery brand MYKA Designs has announced the debut of its new collection at JCK Las Vegas 2016. With this, the company hopes to introduce itself to a targeted audience of on-trend jewellery buyers.
The power and influence of colour is the cornerstone of MYKA’s 2016 collection. Shades of pink, lilac and blue are featured heavily in the new pieces and will tantalize buyers and consumers alike.
The new collection also makes use of the brand’s Innovative Multifunctional designs, which are sold as individual pieces but can be manipulated and worn in several different ways. MYKA’s Detachable Collection, which includes a selection of interchangeable pendants and chains, continues to evolve this season with brand new designs and greater options for trendsetters everywhere.
Additionally, while the company is best known for its large crystal and jewel pieces, the new collection also contains some smaller and more delicate designs, which are great for layering.
“Our design inspiration comes from many different influences; the arts, fashion, celebrities, perhaps an piece of interesting textile. In tying all of these ideas together, our goal is to express our never-ending love for details and the combination of unusual materials to create the unique designs our MYKA brand has become known for,” says Maja Bremer, the company’s creative director and co-founder. “Each season, we raise the bar a bit higher and always challenge ourselves with new design approaches and new techniques, but all with the consideration of our ‘MYKA’ ladies and foresight into what will excite them and continue their interest in [our brand].”
The company, conceived by Maja and Michael Bremer in 1987, has sold to notable retailers including Holt Renfrew, Nordstrom, and Ports International and has been distributed in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Germany and Russia.
