The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) has announced that its 46th Annual Mid Year ACE It Education Conference will be held in Newport Beach, California, from August 13 – 16, 2016.

As always, this event’s program is focused on assisting the professional appraiser’s continuing education and delivering an unparalleled networking experience. This year’s topics of discussion include—but are not limited to—identifying counterfeit luxury watches, treatments and synthetics, conflict management, the challenges associated with creating a gemstone brand and digital photomicrography.

Following this conference, NAJA will offer a Diamond Grading Update at the GIA Campus from August 17 – 18. This seminar, which is limited to 24 students, will revisit and practice GIA clarity and D to Z color grading methods and techniques, as well as review the estimation of a GIA Cut Grade. Moreover, it will touch on the treatments used to enhance diamond clarity and colour, as well as how HPHT and CVD diamonds are manufactured.
