Nordstrom has revealed the opening dates for its two initial Toronto stores, both of which are scheduled to open in the fall of 2016. The Seattle-based luxury retailer also announced the addition of a third Toronto location, which will open sometime over the following year.
Nordstrom’s 213,000-square foot Toronto Eaton Centre flagship will open on September 16, 2016. As with the company’s recent Vancouver opening, a celebratory charity gala and designer runway presentation are expected to be held two days prior to this event.
Additionally, the retailer’s 191,000-square foot Yorkdale location is scheduled to open on October 21 of next year. The store will anchor a new wing within the mall, which will feature several first-to-Canada retailers as well as a 24,000-square foot Uniqlo store.
The third location was originally scheduled to open at Sherway Gardens on March 31, 2017. However, sources now suggest that this opening may be delayed until the summer of that year. This will be retailer’s smallest Canadian location.
