The Canadian Gemmological Affiliation (CGA) introduced the winners of the 2021 Canadian Rising Artist Design Competitors

Jewelry college students and new graduates from throughout Canada had been invited to submit their creations for an opportunity to win money prizes and publicity to high Canadian jewelry companies.

I need to congratulate our winners this 12 months on a job properly executed,” stated Donna Hawrelko, CGA President. “They actually have executed an impressive job of respiratory life into their jewelry designs.

This 12 months’s winners embody:
• First Place Winner, François Charest for his necklace entitled, “Granatus”
• Second Place Winner, Melina Panara for her assertion Ring entitled, “A Sew In Time.”
• Third Place Winner, Sara Farhangi for her ring entitled, “Paisley Ring.”
• And Honourable Point out to Ruby Rue for her necklace entitled, “Iniskim.”

The Canada-wide competitors is open to all college students enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary jewelry design or metalsmithing program.

That is our third 12 months celebrating this prestigious award and we’re thrilled to see a rise in submissions, this actually attests to the artistic brilliance and keenness of our Canadian college students,” stated Hawrelko.
