François-Henry Bennahmias will leave his CEO position in 2023.
After all the rumors regarding Audemars Piguet CEO François-Henry Bennahmias leaving the company, the brand finally announced and confirmed the rumors.
Bennahmias became the interim CEO in 2012. He began his career at Audemars Piguet in 1994 and as a managing director of North America in 1999 to spend 25 years with the company.
Divergence of opinion between a more conservative way of seeing the business and fanblayant forward thinking in many cases and in this one do not mix very well and causes shake ups.
In 2021, Bennahmias took the company to over $1.6 billion in revenue and to become the fourth-largest watch brand in sales surpassing Patek Philippe in their home country.
In January of this year, Bennahmias announced that the company increased its production from 45,000 to 50,000 watches.
