CGA holds Annual Gala Dinner Meeting and Graduation Ceremony

This past Friday, the Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA) held their Annual Gala Dinner Meeting and Graduation Ceremony. The individuals who have gone through Canadian Gemmological Association (FCGmA) are recognized worldwide, and upon completion, they’re closer to becoming a qualified gem expert.

After opening remarks and dinner, the ceremony began. Forty FCGmA 2016 Graduates were recognized, with awards presented by Jennifer McKercher, CGA Program Lead Instructor, and Anna Marek, CGA Program Instructor, who also presented 40 Certificate 2016 Graduates.

The graduation ceremony was followed by words from the guest speaker, Paul McClure BFA, MA from George Brown College. Paul McClure is a professional and program coordinator for Jewellery Studies at George Brown College Toronto and his work has been showcased extensively worldwide.
