Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen has introduced the latest addition to its Colours of TOP GUN range: the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar (Ref. IW389409). The timepiece showcases a striking light-blue ceramic case—dubbed TOP GUN Miramar—created in collaboration with Pantone®.
The limited-edition ceramic model, capped at 1,000 pieces globally, features a matching dial and water-repellent rubber strap in the same signature hue. Blue Super-LumiNova® hands ensure legibility in low-light conditions, while the titanium case back bears the iconic “TOP GUN” engraving. Crafting a consistent colour across disparate materials presented a technical challenge: zirconium oxide was blended with metallic oxides in precise ratios, and extensive trials were required to maintain colour fidelity through the sintering process.
In parallel, IWC has launched a stainless steel version of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 (Ref. IW388117), marking the first time a Pantone® colour has been applied to a steel case. The 41 mm stainless steel model pairs the TOP GUN Miramar dial and strap with rhodium-plated Super-LumiNova®–filled hands, and an exhibition case back offers a glimpse of the finely finished movement.
Both chronographs are powered by IWC’s in-house Calibre 69000 family. These column-wheel chronograph movements boast a 46-hour power reserve, an efficient double-pawl winding system, and a vertical dial layout that places the stopped minutes at 12 o’clock for quick reading. A soft-iron inner case shields the movement from magnetic fields, underscoring IWC’s focus on precision and robustness.
Retailers can look forward to adding these models to their fall collections when they hit the market on September 8, 2025. The ceramic edition carries an RRP of CAD 17,800, while the stainless steel variant is priced at CAD 13,600.
