Hudson’s Bay has appointed John Caplice as senior vice president of treasury and investor relations, effective September 2. Lucas Evans will assume the role of senior vice president of corporate development and will report to the office of the chairman.
“With his strong track record of success and experience in the retail sector, John will be an integral part of our senior management team as we continue to expand in North America and drive forward our goals for continued growth and innovation,” says the official statement.
Caplice has experience in financial management and strategic communications decelopment. Some of his former positions include serving as senior vice president of treasurer and investor relations at Shoppers Drug Mart, where he played an integral role in leading treasury and compliance activities and developing communication strategies. He was also responsible for implementing annual reports to shareholders. He will be based in Toronto in his new position. CJ
