Toronto’s retail scene is under construction and expansion for an upgrade that will be much larger and more competitive than ever before. The Holt Renfrew location on Bloor Street West is in the works to expand for a budget of $300 million, increasing the store network by almost 40 per cent. American luxury chain Nordstrom has launched its first Canadian store at Calgary’s Chinook Centre on September 19. Many other retailers and shopping centres in Toronto are gearing up for renovation and expansions for a completely new retail scene by the end of 2017.

American Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom will be entering the Canadian market next to luxury brands that are expanding their networks, such as Harry Rosen, Sporting Life, and Holt Renfrew. European luxury lingerie brand Agent Provocateur has recently joined the ranks with its new Bloor St. West store. CJ
