The next German watch and jewellery trade fair Inhorgenta Munich will be exhibiting a smartwatch section. The new smartwatch section will mark the first time in the watch and jewellery industry that a trade show has included it. There will also be educational segments on smartwatches offered to visitors, as well as an overview of smartwatches and high-tech devices currently available on the market. Inhorgenta Munich will run from February 20 to 23 in 2015.
Results show that 6 million smartwatches and fitness wristbands were sold in the first half of 2014, and experts expect more to follow. This is a high number compared to the first half of 2013, when sales stayed under 1 million.
“Some of our exhibitors will be represented in this innovative segment with new and exciting models for the jewelry and watches trade,” show product manager Renate Wittgenstein said, reports JCK Online. CJ
