Holt Renfrew has revealed plans for a second phase of expansion at its Vancouver CF Pacific Centre flagship, as well as its plans for 2017 as a whole. This coming year, the company will expand its women’s “shoe hall” with nine luxury designer boutiques.
The first phase, which took place in 2016, involved the annexing of 40,000 square feet of space formerly occupied by SportChek. The second phase includes an 8,500 square foot women’s shoe hall, including nine luxury shop-in-stores by Celine, Dior, Aquazurra, Gucci, Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Prade, Stuart Weitzman, and Miu Miu.
This Holt’s location now includes more footwear boutiques than any other Holt Renfrew store. The company’s Mississauga location has six women’s footwear shop-in-stores, while Toronto’s Yorkdale store has five.
In addition to this expansion, French luxury bakery Ladurée will open its second Vancouver location next to the shoe hall. Later this year, Holt’s will also unveil its new 7,000 square foot, two-level personal shopping suites. This will include The Apartment, a 1,000 square foot invitation-only space for Holt’s top clients.
The department store will also expand its jewellery, leather goods and beauty departments. As such, retailers in the area must prepare for this growth, which will occur later this year.
