Birks Group reports higher FY2026 holiday sales

European Boutique acquisition and momentum in branded timepieces and Birks jewellery lift results for the eight-week period ended December 27, 2025.

Birks Group reported results for its eight-week interim sales period ended December 27, 2025 (the company’s “FY2026 Holiday Period”), delivering an 11.8% increase in net sales compared with the corresponding period in FY2025. Comparable store sales for the same holiday period increased 2.5% year over year, with e-commerce included in the company’s comparable-store calculation.

What fuelled the gain

The company attributed the 11.8% net sales increase in part to the acquisition of European Boutique stores, alongside higher sales of branded timepieces and Birks-branded jewellery across both retail and e-commerce channels. Birks also said the improvement in comparable store sales reflected strength in branded timepieces and Birks-branded jewellery versus the prior-year holiday period.

Leadership comment

Executive chairman and interim CEO Niccolò Rossi di Montelera said the holiday performance benefited from the acquisition and continued momentum across the store network and online, adding that the company is focused on building on the period’s sales traction while maintaining excellence in customer service.

How Birks defines comparable store sales

Birks uses comparable store sales as a key operating metric, covering locations open in the same period in both the current and prior year. The company includes e-commerce sales in its comparable-store calculation. Stores are added to the comparable base in their thirteenth full month of operation under Birks’ ownership. Stores that are resized or relocated are assessed case by case to determine whether they remain functionally the same store. Birks notes that comparable store sales is not a standardized measure and may not be directly comparable with similarly named metrics used by other companies.
