How we handle corrections
When we learn of a factual error in a published story, we correct the article as soon as the error is verified. Material corrections — those affecting the substance of a story, such as figures, names, titles, dates, or attributions — are noted at the bottom of the corrected article with the date of the correction and a brief description of what changed. Minor copy edits that do not alter meaning, such as spelling or formatting fixes, are made without a note.
Reporting an error
Readers, sources, and industry members are encouraged to report suspected errors. Contact our editorial team at editor@canadianjeweller.com with the article headline, the URL, and a description of the suspected error. We review every report and respond to substantive correction requests.
Removal requests
We do not unpublish accurate reporting. Requests for removal are considered only in exceptional circumstances, such as demonstrated factual inaccuracy or legal requirement, and are decided by the publisher.
