The Juventus footballer joined a panel at the Dubai International Sports Conference on Sunday and looked dapper in a grey suit and hair slicked back in his signature style. But it was his eye-catching jewellery collection that stole the show.
The Portuguese footballer arrived wearing the most expensive Rolex watch available; the Rolex GMT-Master Ice watch featuring 18ct white gold and hundreds of smaller 30-carat diamond. The watch is valued at around 650.193can. He also wore a diamond band on his wedding finger (Valued at around 85,565.00can )– sparking engagement rumours. If that was not enough, next spotted was perhaps Cristiano’s most stunning piece – a woman’s engagement ring with a large yellow diamond in the centre, which is said to be valued at 342,277can. Although it’s unlikely to be Cristiano’s actual wedding or engagement ring as speculation he’d secretly tied the knot with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, were promptly shut down by sources who called it ‘fake news’. It was a busy evening for Cristiano, who was honoured with the best men’s player award at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards.
According to the UAE’s The National, the footballer said in his acceptance speech: ‘I have to thank my family, my girlfriend, my boy there, Cristiano, my three kids who are waiting for me in the hotel, my friends, my teammates of Juventus and the national team, my agent, all the people here tonight who support this gala. ‘I have to say thank you to the Arabic community, which is always great with me. I have to thank Dubai as well – it’s a marvellous place to be, I’m coming every year and I love this place.’
He added: ‘And finally to thank everyone who voted for me. It’s a great honour to be here and receive this amazing award. I hope to be here next year to receive this award, of course. Thanks to everyone, and a happy New Year.’ After accepting the honour, Cristiano hopped on his private jet and was seen posing with the trophy in front of him while surrounded by Georgina and his children – Cristiano Jr, nine, Alana, two, and twins Mateo and Eva, also two.
