Swiss watchmaker Gerald Charles has taken home the Luxury Watch of the Year title at the Inhorgenta Award 2025 for its Masterlink model. The prestigious award was presented on February 22, 2025, at Munich’s Olympic Hall during Inhorgenta, one of Europe’s premier jewelry and watch trade fairs.

The Masterlink, first unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2024, builds on the brand’s Maestro collection. Inspired by the archives of Gérald Charles Genta, the timepiece features an integrated asymmetrical bracelet, a 38mm x 38mm stainless steel case, and the iconic “smile” at 6 o’clock. At just 7.99mm thick, it houses an ultra-thin Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier movement powered by a micro-rotor.

CEO Federico Ziviani emphasized that the award reflects the brand’s commitment to technical excellence and artistic heritage. With a production of only 1,500 watches per yearGerald Charles continues to uphold the legacy of its legendary founder.

Meanwhile, Patek Philippe Boutique Stuttgart also claimed an Inhorgenta win, earning the Next Generation Retail award for its innovative store concept.

With the Masterlink’s triumph, Gerald Charles further cements its place in the high-end Swiss watch segment—where tradition meets bold innovation.
