Hagerty jewellery care arrives at the Time & Shine Jewellery Trade Show in Toronto on November 1 and 2, 2026. It brings two new products for jewellers and show specials that stay under wraps until the doors open.
In 1895, William J. Hagerty began selling a silver polish that did more than shine. It also held tarnish back, which was new at the time. Today, that formula still opens the company’s catalogue, now from a head office in Switzerland and a reach of more than 70 countries.
Canadian stores have bought Hagerty since the early 1980s through its Ottawa office and Markham warehouse. Yet the company has never taken a table at Time & Shine. Toronto will be its first.
Which Hagerty jewellery care products are coming to Toronto?
Two of the products are new to Canada this season. The other three, by contrast, are proven sellers.
| Product | What it does | Size | Best placed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Precious Stones Pencil (new) | Gel cleaning pen with soft bristles for diamonds, sapphires and rubies | 4 ml | Bridal showcase |
| Metal Bracelet Cleaner (new) | Spray for steel and gold watch bracelets, made in France | 125 ml | Watch service desk |
| Jewel Cleaner | Cleaning bath for gold, platinum and precious stones | 237 ml | Regular clients |
| Jewel Cloth | Cleans and protects jewellery between washes | 36 x 30 cm | Gift boxes |
| Silver Polish | The original tarnish preventive formula | 250 ml | Sterling clients |

The pencil is the one to watch. Small enough for a handbag, it lets a bride touch up her stone before dinner. Meanwhile, the bracelet cleaner gives the watch desk something to sell after a no charge adjustment.
Why does a care product belong on a jeweller’s counter in November?
Canadian data on how often jewellery stores attach a care product to a sale is unavailable. In fact, no public survey tracks it. However, the arithmetic is easy to run on your own numbers.
Take a store writing 300 sales between November 1 and Christmas Eve. If one client in four adds a care product, that is 75 extra transactions without a single extra visitor. Better still, a clean ring keeps looking like the ring the customer fell for. That piece then sells the store for years.
Why does “not made in the United States” matter right now?
According to Hagerty, 80 per cent of its range is made in Europe. None of it is made in or imported from the United States. For a brand that began in America, the shift is striking.
The timing also suits Canadian shoppers. An Abacus Data survey, reported by Global News this month, found 77 per cent of Canadians intend to avoid American products. In addition, 61 per cent said they have bought more Canadian goods. At the register, that origin takes one sentence to explain.
Why is Hagerty keeping its show specials off the record?
Nothing about the offers appears on price lists, in email or in this story. Instead, Hagerty will present them in person, to the buyers standing at its table.
The room explains the choice. More than 30 per cent of Canada’s jewellery retail segment attends Time & Shine. Every edition also brings retailers new to the show, many introduced through Canadian Jeweller Magazine. Moreover, most jewellers hold their budgets close until November, the last chance to meet suppliers before the holidays. That is when a counter offer can actually turn into an order.
Where do jewellers find Hagerty jewellery care in Toronto?
The show runs Sunday, November 1 and Monday, November 2, closing at 3 p.m. on Monday. Attendance is a complimentary invitation from Canadian Jeweller Magazine, for the trade only, with no membership or affiliation required.
Register at timeandshineexpo.com. Then plan two stops: the Shopify session for jewellers on Sunday at 11 a.m., and the Hagerty jewellery care table at booth 23.
Three things worth bringing:
- Last December’s sales count, to size a care product order.
- A list of the watch brands your service desk sees most.
- Your current care supplier’s terms, for comparison.
Finally, Hagerty’s mission line reads “Clean & care for objects that matter through time.” Toronto is where it finally meets the people who sell those objects.
