JVC File 2413 Break and Enter, Theft, Balmoral, New Brunswick
On May 10, 2018 at 4:00am a person or persons unknown broke into a retail jewellery store and stole a quantity of watches and jewellery. Entrance was gained through the front door. The incident was reported to Balmoral RCMP.

JVC File 2412 Theft by Fraud, Markham Ontario
On May 17, 2018 at 10:00am the subject pictured to the left, used stolen identification in a retail jewellery store to obtain credit. Then purchased two (2) Movado watches. The incident was reported to York Regional Police Cst. Nicole Cornet 1785866-876-5423 ex. 6990. If you have been victimized by the subject or if you have any information please contact Cst. Cornet.

JVC File 2409 Break and Enter Theft Grand Falls-Windsor NFLD
On May 11th, 2018 a person unknown smashed a hole in the bottom portion of the front door and entered the jewellery store. He/She smashed one display case and stole a quantity of watches and jewellery. The incident was reported to Grand Falls Windsor RCMP. Note: The store was victimized again later in the month.

JVC File 2411 Break and Enter, Theft Grand Falls- Windsor NFLD
On May 18th, 2018 at 4:20am a lone male broke through the front door of a retail jewellery store, and smashed the jewellery showcase stealing watches and jewellery. The subject fled the store prior to police arrival. The incident was reported to Grand Falls RCMP, the phone number 709- 489-2121. JVC File 2410 Quick Change Frauds, Durham Region
During the month of April 2018 and May 2018 a group of Eastern European individuals were committing quick change frauds in several retail stores in the Oshawa area. JVC has not yet received any information of this taking place in retail jewellery stores but we believe it can only be a matter of time. If you have been victimized by this type of criminal activity, please contact JVC. We will pass the information on to local authorities.

JVC File 2408 Theft Grab & Run, St. John’s NFLD
On May 10th, 2018 at 6:30pm a theft occurred at a retail jewellery store in Avalon Mall when a male suspect entered the store and sat at the Bridal show case.He asked to see a ladies Vera Wang ring. When the item was handed to him, he turned and ran from the store. The incident was reported to Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, Cst. Neary 668. Cst Neary’s contact phone number is 709-729-8000.

JVC File 2407 Theft Grab & Run, St. John’s NFLD
On May 9th, 2018 2:30pm a male and female entered a jewellery retail store separately. They went to different counters and selected an item. When they were handed the item they fled the store. The incident was reported to St. John’s Police, Cst. McClafferty. Phone number is 780-279-8000.

JVC File 2406 Break & Enter and Theft, Brampton Ontario
On May 1st, 2018 at 12:01am, an unknown suspect cut through the roof of the mall to enter a retail jewellery store. They stole a large amount of merchandise. The incident was reported to Peel Regional Police, Cst. Amanda Drexler 3047 on police report# 180161276. Cst. Drexler’s contact phone number is 405-2121 ext. 2233. Throughout the GTA there have been similar occurrences over the last few months. If you have been victimized, make sure you have filed a report with the local police, or contact the JVC. We will pass on the information.

JVC File 2405 Theft Grab & Run Willowbrook Mall, Langley BC
On April 24, 2018 at 10:00am a lone male entered a jewellery retail store in Willowbrook Mall and asked to see a gold chain. When it was handed to him he ran from the store. The incident was reported to Langley RCMP.

 

JVC File 2404 Theft Grab & Run Edmonton Mall, Edmonton AB
On April 28th, 2018 at 8:41pm a male suspect entered a jewellery retail store at the West Edmonton Mall and selected several items of jewellery. When the sales person took all the items to the cash for payment he asked to see them again. When she placed them on the counter in front of him, he quickly grabbed all the items and ran off.

JVC File 2403 Theft Grab & Run Sherwood Park Mall, Sherwood Park AB
On May 2nd, 2018 at 4:31pm a male subject asked to see a ring at a retail jewellery store in Sherwood Park Mall. Once it was in his possession he fled from the store without paying. The suspect is Male, white, slim, 5’10 wearing a hoodie. He has numerous tattoos on neck and arms.

JVC File 2414 Theft Distraction Scarborough Town Centre, Scarborough ON
On May 10th, 2018 at 5:49pm a distraction theft occurred at a retail jewellery store in Scarborough Town Centre. A female subject entered asking to see numerous rings. During the presentation of these rings, the suspect puts the ring on her hand, and later transfers it to her purse. The suspect and her son then proceed to purchase other items and leave the store without paying for the concealed ring. Toronto Police Services were advised of the incident and a report has been filed. The responding officer is PC Khwaja. JVC File 2416 Break Enter Theft Lyndon Mall, Brantford ON
On Monday May 28, 2018 the Brantford Police Service received a report of a Break and Enter at a retail jewellery store in Lyndon Mall. Sometime between Saturday May 26th and Monday May 28th, 2018 unknown person(s) broke into the business. Reported stolen was jewellery including watches, rings and necklaces. The BPS- Street Crime Unit are working closely with the owners of the business. Incident #18-20120.
