Man sentenced in BC jewellery store break-in attempt

A man in his twenties has been sentenced to eight months in prison after a failed smash-and-grab at a Paris Jewellers store in Penticton,BC.

Eric Brazeau pleaded guilty to smashing a window at the Penticton jewellery store on January 29th. The 26-year-old also pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching probation.

Brazeau has also received an 18-month probation period, a $224 fine for a broken window, and $400 in victim surcharge fees.

Paris Jewellers was unavailable for comment.
