Target has opened three new Canadian locations to round out the last store openings for 2014 for the retailer. The new stores are at the Sheridan Centre in Missisauga, Ontario; Polo Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and on St. Laurent Boulevard in Ottawa, Ontario. All three of the new locations feature a Starbucks franchise and pharmacy inside the store.
Target Canada has added nine stores this year to bring the total to 133. The three new locations are ready just in time for the holiday season. Last year, Target Canada opened 124 stores within nine months, starting from March. The openings are a part of Target’s expansion of its Canadian division.
“The opening of these three stores marks another important milestone for Target Canada,” President Mark Schindele told Retail Insider. “As we head into the holiday season, we’re thrilled to offer our guests additional locations to find exclusive merchandise, great value and a unique shopping experience.” CJ
