On July 7, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) issued the trademark “Arctic Circle Diamonds” to World Diamond Trademarks (WDT) of Vancouver, Canada. The company applied for the trademark back in October of 2013 in order to market diamonds and diamond jewellery.
The trademark consists of the word “Arctic” in stylized upper case letters with the word “Circle” in a smaller version of the same font immediately below. “Diamonds” then appears in lower case at the bottom of the design, with a circle and stylized cross shape resting at the top.
Additionally, Australia’s government confirmed registered and protected status for several trademarks owned by Michael Hill. The trademarks “Gem, Stylized” and “Michael Hill Idealcut Princess Perfect Brilliance” are valid from January 17, 2014 to January 17, 2024; “The Michael Hill Designer Bridal Collection Your Symphony of Light” and “Your Symphony of Light” are valid from January 14, 2014 to January 14, 2024 and “Evermore Colourless Visibly Whiter” is valid from January 13, 2014 to January 13, 2024.
