Holt Renfrew will be closing some of its smaller locations in Ottawa and Quebec City earlier next year. Whether more stores will be closed is yet to be announced. The company has made the decision to concentrate on bigger locations instead. The 36,000 square foot Ottawa store inside the CD Howe Building is one of the stores to be closed.
The store lacks several of the designers often featured in other Holt Renfrew locations, such as Louis Vuitton. The other store to be closed, Quebec City’s 33,000 square foot location, is located at the Place Ste-Foy shopping centre and also does not contain several brands available in other Holt Renfrew stores.
Holt Renfrew’s 84,000 square foot store in Montreal is set to close in 2017. CJ
