The retail space is a renovation and rebranding of the Tourneau boutique that resided at the shopping center since 2010. Expansive and elegant, the refresh is a testament to the Switzerland-based brand’s rich history in the worlds of timepieces and fine jewelry, offering a sense of wonder and sparkle in both the collections and the design of the interiors.
Bucherer 1888 at King of Prussia is the second location to debut under the company’s acquisition of American-based Tourneau in 2018. The first was the TimeMachine flagship in New York, a three-story emporium with a carefully considered layout and decor that emphasizes Swiss hospitality. It serves as the blueprint for its other hybrid boutiques that carry a multitude of premier labels, including the new 4,976-square foot expanse at King of Prussia. From the large transparent windows and decorative “BB” mesh at the storefront to the mix of dark woods, soft fabric panels, and reflective stones in a neutral colour palette inside, the 4,976-square foot store keeps the elevated design elements consistent.
In addition to the beautiful surfaces, the space features comfortable seating vignettes, two group lounge areas, a custom banquette, and a bar that serves coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Swiss hospitality is one of the cornerstones of Bucherer 1888, and all these design details are there to help bolster the customer experience. The store has worked with each of its multi-brand partners-Hublot. Tudor. Blancpain. Jaeger-LeCoultre, Hublot. Longines, and Carl F Bucherer, -to create a consistent environment that visualizes a whole harmonious lifestyle, along with operating the mono-brand boutiques of the adjacent Rolex, IWC Schaffhausen, and Panerai.
A highlight at the store is the selection of Bucherer Fine Jewellery. Since 1888. Bucherer has been a purveyor of exquisite gems, both contemporary pieces and dazzling one-of-a-kind creations. and the new location marks only the second time that the breathtaking collection is available in America. Also noteworthy are limited-edition timepieces from the Bucherer BLUE collection, which are only available at Bucherer. Each of these timepieces was designed with partner brands, each of them incorporating Bucherer’s signature blue colour. Always unexpected, but always extraordinary. these are the kind of watches that will continue to amaze throughout the decades and beyond.
For over a century, Bucherer 1888 has been dominating the industry in Europe, offering a retail structure that is unparalleled and that continuously raises that bar. Now. it is bringing that same commitment to the U.S. with the unveiling of the King of Prussia boutique. the second and certainly not the last of the brand’s expansion efforts.
