Kristie Nicolosi Rejoins WJA Board with a Vision for Empowerment
New development for the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA), Kristie Nicolosi, has been elected to the international Board of Directors. Nicolosi, who is no stranger to the WJA, previously served on the board from 2011 to 2018, holding pivotal roles as the Treasurer and Investment Committee Chair. Her return to the board is poised to inject a renewed vigor and expertise that promises to significantly benefit the organization.
Since 2005, Nicolosi has helmed The Kingswood Company, renowned globally as the premier manufacturer of jewelry care products. Under her leadership, Kingswood has flourished, achieving an impressive sixteen-fold growth, a testament to her strategic vision and impeccable execution. Her prowess in business management and innovation has not gone unnoticed. Nicolosi’s accolades include being named one of the Columbus Business First Forty Under 40® honorees and a finalist for the 2020 Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of The Year® East Central Award. Her trailblazing efforts were further recognized in 2023 when she was inducted into the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) Hall of Fame, honoring her as a Private Brand Champion.
Aligned with WJA’s core mission to empower women within the jewelry industry, Nicolosi has been a fervent advocate for female advancement. She has actively participated in several organizations that share this ethos, such as The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, the Women President’s Organization, and recently, the international Board of Directors of Diamonds Do Good. Her commitment to these causes underscores her dedication not just to business success but to making a meaningful impact on society.
Welcoming her back to the board, WJA President Susan Chandler expressed great enthusiasm. “I’m so pleased to be welcoming Kristie Nicolosi back to the WJA International Board of Directors and also as the Chair of the WJA Audit Committee,” Chandler said. “Kristie’s experience, insight, and leadership will be a great addition to our community and further our mission.”
Nicolosi herself is equally enthusiastic about her return, recognizing the critical role WJA has played in the professional lives of many women in the jewelry sector. “I am honored to be rejoining the WJA board this year and to contribute my expertise to this amazing organization,” Nicolosi remarked. “WJA has served a critical role in the advancement of women in the jewelry industry for over 40 years, and I’m excited to work with the Board to fortify the organization so it will continue its mission for many years to come.”
Her reappointment marks a significant milestone for WJA as it continues to strive towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in the jewelry industry. With Nicolosi’s proven track record, her tenure on the board is expected to bring innovative ideas and strategies that will help propel the association forward, nurturing a bright future for all its members.
