Zeghani brings its full collection to Time and Shine Edmonton on August 16 and 17, 2026 at the Edmonton Expo Centre — and for the family design house, this is less a market entry than a homecoming. Co-founder and CEO Zaven Ghanimian once called Montreal home.
The affection is old. Zaven Ghanimian grew up in a house where jewellery was the family language. “Being raised in a household where artistry was portrayed and encouraged, I grew up aspiring to become a jewelry designer,” he has said. In 2008 he founded Zeghani with his brother Hratch, the head designer, and Canadian independents have kept the line in their cases ever since — Appelt’s Diamonds in Winnipeg and Morden, Victoria Jewellers in Regina, Anstett Jewellers in Ontario. What Edmonton gets in August is the first chance for the whole Western trade to see it in one room.
What makes Zeghani’s design and craftsmanship stand out?
Hratch Ghanimian’s range runs from classic bridal to fashion pieces built on a vocabulary of vines, blossoms and organic lines. The brand describes every piece as “designed with love — a love for artistry, a love for quality, and a love for the joy it will bring to the person who wears it,” and backs the whole line with a lifetime warranty.

The standard behind that promise has a longer history. Zaven also leads Simon G., the house his father founded in 1981 after arriving in America with two hundred dollars and a grandfather’s trade. There, vertically integrated production puts each piece through roughly 40 sets of hands, with stones hand-set and polished down to surfaces a customer never sees. Zeghani applies that culture to an accessible designer line.

Why is Zeghani choosing Time and Shine Edmonton?
It is the only dedicated jewellery trade show in Western Canada, drawing verified retailers from Winnipeg to Vancouver, trade-only and open to every jeweller with no membership required. For a brand whose Canadian presence has grown store by store, one floor now covers the entire territory.
The timing helps. ATB Financial forecasts Alberta will lead the country with 2.6 per cent growth in 2026, against 0.8 per cent nationally, and provincial retail sales rose 5.5 per cent year over year in the first quarter. The Canadian Jewellers Association’s retail report adds a 12.8 per cent annual jump in jewellery store category sales for October 2025. Edmonton-specific jewellery figures are not published, but every available Canadian indicator points the same way.
The floor itself keeps gathering weight. Zeghani joins names like manufacturer Amden Jewelry, with more detail in Canadian Jeweller’s Edmonton show preview.
How does the Canadian connection show in the offering?
In who the pieces are made for. Nature-led fashion and openly sentimental bridal suit a customer who buys jewellery to mark a moment, not to make a statement — the customer who walks into an independent store on a Saturday afternoon. Price point completes the fit: with gold near US$4,010 per ounce, an all-14K line carries roughly 28 per cent less pure gold per gram than 18K, which on a 10-gram piece leaves about US$213 of room before labour and stones. That is what lets a store put designer glamour in the case at a figure a walk-in customer accepts.
How should Edmonton jewellers prepare for Zeghani’s booth?
Pull twelve months of sales by karat and category before the show, then arrive with an open-to-buy figure and the gaps written down. Register early and book through the show’s hotel partner. The floor runs Sunday, August 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — two days is enough to reset a fall assortment when the homework travels with the buyer.
A brand that has loved this country for years is finally showing it everything.
