The 32nd HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show opened on March 4 with a dazzling start for its international visitors. Held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), the show was also a launching point for the new Natural Diamond Quality Assurance Mark (NDQA), an initiative of the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong (DFHK) that will aim to maintain Hong Kong’s reputation as a global diamond trading hub for both traders and consumers.
Participants of the new venture are committed to not selling man-made or synthetic diamonds or any other non-natural diamonds of a similar nature.
The jewellery show ran parallel with the International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, from March 2 to 6, at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Both events serve as the world’s largest marketplace for the jewellery industry, featuring more than 4,360 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions. CJ
