Port Hope will see the Ganaraska Studio Tour open its doors to the public from May 31 to June 1 this year, featuring 21 artists in 13 different locations. The six-year-old tour will be self-guided and feature a wide range of artists, from mixed media artists and potters to photographers and jewelers.
Among these artists will be newcomer Tannice Goddard, a jeweller and yoga teacher in Port Hope who will be sharing a space with popular potter and friend Susan McDonald for this year’s studio tour. Goddard had experience working with watercolour and acrylics before she discovered her passion for jewellery. She currently works with silver for her pieces and credits it as the first medium she’s worked with where she feels true joy. Her one-of-a-kind pieces with vibrant colours have a designing and creation process that comes together organically.
“It’s more of an intuitive process rather than being mapped out,” she says. Her jewellery pieces are available within a large range of pricing. More information about the Ganaraska Studio Tour brochure can be found on the website (www.ganaraskastudiotour.ca).
