Fifteen young jewellers got the opportunity to showcase their designs during Craft Ontario’s opening retail show in Toronto last month under a segment called Emerging Makers.

Craft Ontario, which is formerly known as the Ontario Crafts Council, is a not-for-profit service organization that aims to have “craft recognized as a valuable part of life” by promoting talented individuals and providing opportunities for growth and education.

The organization launched its first retail show this past October in hopes of connecting the public with the arts. The event was held at the Wychwood Barns in Toronto and displayed high-end craft objects from 50 Craft Ontario members. CJ
