Dior has announced the opening of its new Dior and Dior Homme boutiques in Vancouver. The luxury giant celebrated this accomplishment last week with a cocktail party, during which guests were able to tour both of the new locations.
The ladies’ Dior boutique is comprised of two selling floors and takes its inspiration from the retailer’s original Paris Avenue Montaigne flagship boutique. The first floor offers accessories, bags, luxury bags, fine jewellery and watches, while the upper level hosts ready-to-wear and eveningwear collections, as well as shoes and a VIP fitting room.
The Dior boutique also contains fabulous, unique artworks that reflect the codes of the house. Pieces include cosmic ceiling glass and glass text by Rob Wynne, a stainless steel and quartz cocktail table by Damian Garrido, a “Bishop” stool by India Mahdavi, a “Fillo” table by Alexander Lamont, a bench by Christopher Schank and a video wall by artist Yoram. Additionally, the boutique’s evening salon houses a Louis XVI-style marble and bronze antique fireplace, while the fine jewellery salon boasts Zodiac lighting in the shape of Mr. Dior’s Aquarius sign.
Likewise, the Dior Homme boutique—located at the Hotel Vancouver—has been carefully designed as a unique, multi-dimensional space that incorporates luxe materials with rich, tactile finishes throughout. The format brings together distinct modern and traditional elements in order to reflect the timeless heritage of the Dior Homme brand.
The men’s boutique will offer merchandise across all categories presently available under the Dior Homme label, including ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear, leather goods, watches, jewellery and fragrance. The brand’s made to measure “Demi-Mesure” service will be available upon special client request. CJ
