Regina-born jewellery designer Rachel Mielke has been titled as one of Canada’s top female entrepreneurs by PROFIT, Canadian Business and Chatelaine. The Hillberg & Berk founder was included in the annual W100 list that includes Canada’s most successful businesswomen, selected based on the size, growth and profitability of their business. Mielke ranked at number 51.
“I am thrilled and honoured to have been named to such a prestigious list,” Mielke says, reported by the Leader-Post. “The past 24 months have been incredibly exciting for H&B, and I can’t wait for what the future holds for my company.” Mielke’s jewellery business got successful after appearing on CBC’s Dragon Den, where Mielke scored a $200,000 deal with philanthropist W. Brett Wilson. The company just launched the Hillberg & Berk Foundation to support women in need locally and internationally. CJ
