To Our Citizen Watch Group Family
In 1992 I was hired to establish a Canadian operation for Citizen Watch Group and work towards gaining substantial market share for the brand. After 29 years of managing Citizen Watch Group Canada, I made the decision to retire as President effective March 31, 2021. This decision was made at the end of 2020, however until we were able to determine a successor, we thought it best to keep this decision quiet.
I am very pleased to announce, effective April 1, 2021 that Eric Senftleben was promoted from Senior Vice President of Planning and Operations to the role of Managing Director for Citizen Watch canada Ltd. I will continue to act in a Senior Advisor role for a period of time, working closely with Eric to ensure a smooth transition.
Eric has been a key player since the start up of the Canadian division back in 1992. His extensive knowledge of our brands, technical expertise and operational vision towards our future make him the ideal fit for the position.
On a personal note, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the wonderful members of the watch and jewellery industry in Canada. My time spent as President of the Canadian Jewellers Association, President of Jewellers Vigilance Canada and President of the Canadian 24K club were all highlights of my career. It was a great way to meet the terrific members of our industry and to network.
