Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement earlier this week, and the world is in full anticipation for the royal wedding to take place in May 2018. All eyes were on the royal couple’s first appearance following the news of their engagement, most of which were eyeing the actress’s white wool wrap coat by Canadian fashion brand Line the Label.
Since the initial post-engagement photos at Kensington Palace, the white coat has become a hot item that sold out instantly. The same coat in a rose colour is currently selling for $799, and has adopted a new, yet fitting, name called “Meghan”.
Line the Label’s CEO John Muscat says that Markle has been wearing their clothing for a number of years, ever since she moved to Toronto to film series Suits. “Meghan has an effortlessly chic sense of style, which we’ve always admired,” said Muscat in a statement.
Markle has been supporting a number of Canadian brands throughout her career, including Canadian Jeweller Birks, Erdem, Aritiza, Mackage, and Reitmans, even creating her own capsule collection with the brand in 2015.
