Philippe Royer, 52, has been appointed as the new CEO of Metalor Group, the Switzerland-based precious-metals refiner. Royer will take over the role from Hubert Angleys, who worked for Metalor for two and a half years as CFO and CEO. Royer has over 20 years of experience in the metal processing industry, having served in operational positions in corporate and private equity environments as managing director of Eurofoil, business unit president of VAW, and CEO of Manoir Industries.
Royer has worked in Europe, North America and Asia, and has brought growth in business, operational excellence and innovation in mergers and acquisitions to the table in his work life thus far.
“I would like to thank Hubert Angleys for his commitment and his contribution to the various modernization initiatives that have been developed throughout the Company,” says Royer. “I am really delighted to have the opportunity to lead Metalor and my primary focus is to speed up and secure sustainable growth for the Group.” CJ
