Prima Diamond Corp. acquires Orion Diamond Properties

Prima Diamond Corp. has acquired the Orion Diamond Properties in the east central region of Quebec, covering 5,621 acres. The property includes prospective kimberlites on seven separate claim blocks.

“Prima is committed to acquiring diamond properties in successful and proven diamond regions within Canada,” Prima CEO Robert Bick told Newswire. “So when the Orion Diamond Properties were offered to us, we jumped at the opportunity specifically because these properties are in the same diamond-rich producing zone which hosts Renard, Quebec’s new diamond mine. We are also very encouraged by the identification of prospective kimberlite targets on each of the claim blocks.”

Prima has invested in two separate diamond exploration areas in Canada; the Slave Carton in the Northwest Territories featuring the Daivik, Ekati, and Snap Lake and Gahcho Kué projects, as well as the Otish Corridor in Quebec, featuring the Orion Diamond Properties. CJ
