Tiffany & Co. is in the works to produce Tiffany-branded watches, announced on March 22. The brand was previously involved in a joint venture with Swatch for a watch line that fell through and resulted in Swatch suing Tiffany with a $450 fine, causing a fourth quarter loss in 2013 for Tiffany.
Tiffany has asked a Netherlands court to annul the arbitration award for claims that the tribunal violated its mandate. The litigation might extend for another two years with the possibility of Swatch-Tiffany heading back to court if it’s set aside.
