Cj Expos and Beverly Hills Jewellers are pleased to announce that Cassandra Vitiello, of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University located in Halifax is the 2017 Vaccaro Family Scholarship winner! The theme this year was ‘Canadian Elements.’
Cassandra Vitiello was raised in Montreal, where she was continuously exposed to art. At John Abbott College, Cassandra explored creative streams, such as paint, printmaking, and sculpture. Throughout high school and college, Vitiello enjoyed crafting beaded and wire-wrapped jewellery as a hobby, which she would gift and sell to friends and family. Upon the discovery of jewellery as a university program, Vitiello applied to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, where she majored in jewellery design and metalsmithing.
Cassandra has won a $3000 scholarship and a complimentary booth in our 2018 Expos.
Cassandra’s school, NSCAD University, has also won $1000 to put towards their Jewellery Design Program to benefit current and future students.
CJ Expos and Beverly Hills Jewellers would like to thank all of the participants in the scholarship contest. As a reminder, all currently enrolled jewellery design and metalsmithing students are eligible to enter the 2018 Vaccaro Family Scholarship!
The theme for 2018 is: ‘STARRY NIGHT’
Good Luck, Students!
