Wal-Mart has let go of 450 workers at its headquarters in order to better compete with the likes of Amazon.com.

Located in a close-knit community in Bentonville, Arkansas, the retail giant’s headquarters employ more than 18,000 people and the cuts were made across all of the areas.

The layoffs less than two months after Wal-Mart cut down on its annual earnings outlook after a drop in profits due to new e-commerce investments and higher wages for hourly workers. CJ
