In the wake of covid and the Ukraine situation, it is very encouraging for our industry to witness the willingness of professional jewellers and enthusiasts to travel and meet.
The trade show also opened its doors to the public and welcomed a total of 4,850 visits of which 3,302 travelled to Palexpo to discover the outstanding gemstones and novelties while 1,548 were returning visitors.
Ronny Totah, the organizer and co-founder of the show, explains, «At the 2022 edition, the exhibitor numbers were close to those of 2019 (with 210 exhibitors), and the number of visits – 4,850 in total – were slightly up on that event, where there were 4,831 visits in total. These figures are a very positive sign in this post-Covid period dominated by the crisis in Ukraine.
The co-founder Thomas Faerber also expressed his satisfaction: “A significant number of professional operators were able to do some excellent deals at this edition. One of our exhibitors even told us that, as far as he’s concerned, the 2022 event has been the best of all.”
Mr. Thomas Faerber, also a world-renowned fourth-generation jeweller was pleased to host the “Strong and Precious – Ukrainian Jewellers” stand, which displayed the creations of 11 Ukrainian designers.
