Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has been honoured with the title of the official timekeeper for the New York City Marathon for the next three years. The company has announced a challenge called Get Your New York On, where marathon runners can share their stories and have other people vote on their favourite story. The most popular one of the day gets featured on the website for that day.
Winners of the challenge will be chosen by a panel of judges, including TAG Heuer ambassador and tennis superstar Maria Sharapova. The winners will receive a watch as a prize, as well as be featured on a billboard in Times Square that will be revealed on November 1.
“The TCS New York City Marathon perfectly embodies the TAG Heuer mind-set of mental fortitude, perseverance, and inner strength,” TAG Heuer North America President and CEO Ulrich Wohn said in an official statement. “Running 26.2 miles requires resilience and willpower, and TAG Heuer is thrilled to celebrate those personal achievements with these ambitious individuals.” CJ
