Seiko opens first North American boutique

Japanese watchmaker brand Seiko has been launched in the U.S. with its first American boutique on Madison Avenue in New York. A grand opening party was held on Tuesday, where CEO Shinji Hattori as well as Seiko brand ambassador and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic were present, along with 150 guests.

“The opening of the U.S. market’s first boutique in New York City is achieving a passionate goal of mine, as I believe that the U.S. market is the most important for Seiko outside of Japan,” Djokovic told JCK Online. “This is just the start of the U.S. market.”

Seiko has boutiques in major cities throughout the world, including Paris, Amsterdam, Cairo, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. CJ
