At the 2017 CJG show, President Glen Van Valkenburg presented the 2016 Retail member of the year to the following retailers and recipients: Ernie Epp from Independent Jewellers of Winnipeg (Western Canada), Ron Hooper from Hooper’s Jewellers of Bowmanville (Central Canada), and Peter Norton from Nortons Jewellers of Charlottetown (Eastern Canada).

In addition to the award ceremony, the Annual CJG Silent Auction and show fundraising activities raised $25,500 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.
