Since 2008, Canadian Jewellery Group (CJG) has raised more than $128,000 through its charitable activities for Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities. The money raised is said to support RMH’s mission for providing a safe place for families of sick children to stay while the child is at a nearby hospital.
CJG goes through a few different methods to raise money for RMH, which includes offering a scrap gold drive and a silent auction at the group’s Annual General Meeting and Buying Show.
At the gala, Brian VandenDool, former CJG president, thanked everyone who participated with an appreciative message: “I would like to thank all those who participated in our silent auction and scrap gold drive,” said Brian VandenDool. “This spectacular achievement could not have been possible without you great generosity—thank you!”
CJG is anticipating $27,000 in donations to be delivered to RMHs by local members and suppliers this holiday season.
