Hugo Boss enters wearables market with new smartwatch

Hugo Boss is the latest player in the wearable technology game with the launch of its Smart Classic smartwatches. Available in two men’s styles, the line will be available this September under the BOSS Watches brand.

Wareable.com revealed that the watch will be available in two styles, each complete with a croc leather strap and a rose gold or stainless steel dial. Upon release, they will be priced at £299 and will be available exclusively in the UK. No further details have been released about international availability.

The tech-centred website also revealed that the Smart Classic will have a digital display, vibrations for smartphone alerts and basic activity tracking, all of which can be tracked by a Hugo Boss Smart Watch app. The watch will also feature an analogue movement for when its smartwatch functionality runs out of power.

HP will stand behind the technical aspects of the product as part of its partnership with Movado, BOSS Watches’ parent company.

The new watches will first be available in Hugo Boss and Ernest Jones stores in the UK.
