We are deeply saddened to report the passing of L.N. Dhamani, a visionary in the gems and jewellery industry, on December 1, 2023, at the age of 70. Born in Jaipur, India, L.N. Dhamani’s lifelong affair with gemstones began at a tender age, leading him to establish his renowned company, Dhamani, in 1969 when he was just 16 years old. Quickly rising to prominence as a premier emerald supplier, L.N. Dhamani became a celebrated name in the world of fine jewellery.
L.N. Dhamani’s journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to quality and an in-depth understanding of the gemstone market. His extensive travels to international shows and his ability to forge lasting relationships with suppliers and clients globally were instrumental in rapidly expanding the Dhamani brand, with offices in key cities like London, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Dubai.
Beyond his business acumen, L.N. Dhamani was a heartwarming philanthropist. He initiated a significant endowment program in Jaipur, offering support to widows and orphans, and was actively involved in various social and spiritual endeavours.
The Dhamani brand, under L.N. Dhamani’s stewardship, has earned its place among the elite fine jewellery brands worldwide. His tenacious spirit and belief in fearless entrepreneurship have inspired countless individuals. Despite reaching the zenith of success, L.N. Dhamani remained dedicated to his family and served as a beacon of guidance to many.
L.N. Dhamani’s memory is cherished by his beloved wife Pushpa, their sons Amit, Rohit, Manish, and daughter Monika.
A condolence and prayer meet will be held in his honour at the Jawahara Ballroom, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
