Fashion trends have been zipping through each season at a dizzying pace. Retailers are kept breathless trying to stay ahead of the game. With all the fashion intel and options at our finger tips, we are all in constant fashion-ADHD mode; our fashion sense a bit blurred and fatigued.

Will the Spring/Summer 2016 season bring some clarity? Start with the Mode Accessories Show. Get a good overview of the season’s collections from nearly 200 fashion accessory suppliers. Find the most compatible fashion directions for your store and source the best products for your clients. It all happens at the International Plaza Hotel, January 31 – February 2, 2016, in Toronto. The Mode Accessories Show is a trade exhibition and attendance is only open to verified retail buyers. For full detail of business identification requirements and online access to registration to attend the show, please go to www.mode-accessories.com, select “Spring/Summer Show”, and click “Buyer Registration”. Buyers may also register in person at the show with business identification. The general public, persons without business identification, or persons under the age of 16 are not admitted.

Mode’s Insight on Spring/Summer 2016

The time is right to simplify, bring calm to the frenetic pace, to distill great designs into fashion chameleons that serve multi-purposes and multi-trends. For Spring/Summer 2016, look for “Cross-overs”, fashion items that have the fluidity to transform into different trends of the season. Focus on quality and design, obsessing less with passing fads, an inevitable by-product of fast fashion.

And the key esthetic is “Modern Organic”, a clever combination of clean design, tactile textures, organic material, and craftsmanship.

There are many forecasts and trend reports each season. Buyers must cut through the “noise” to extract the best directions for their stores, essentially doing a fashion edit for their customers. It can be challenging, but well worth the effort because the result will distinguish your store.

Treats and Services for Buyers

Retail buyers who arrive between 9 am and 10 am at the show will receive a meal voucher with a value of $10, courtesy of Show Management. The voucher can be redeemed as credit against food purchases at specified restaurants and concessions at the show’s venue, the International Plaza Hotel. One voucher per buyer, while quantities last.

Buyers can also enjoy free hors d’oeuvres at Harry’s Bar from 7 pm to 9 pm each show day when they wear their badges.

Mode Accessories provide a free shuttle from the Toronto Gift Fair, picking up buyers from Hall 12 of the Toronto Congress Centre North. The service will run continuously at approximate intervals of 15 to 20 minutes, Sunday and Monday from 9 am to 7:15 pm, and Tuesday from 9 am to 5:15 pm.

Buyers staying at the Holiday Inn Toronto Int’l Airport will be picked up each morning at 8:30 am.
