Two individuals charged in New Brunswick jewellery theft

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a New Brunswick jewellery theft. The couple were taken into custody by the RCMP after stealing a large amount of merchandise from a jewellery store in a Bouctouche mall.

In the early hours of Sunday, March 5th, Bouctouche RCMP responded to an alarm at Place Le Bourg on Irving Boulevard, where a vehicle had smashed through an entrance of the mall near Bijouterie Trésor d’Or.

The perpetrators, twenty-seven-year-old Justin Roberts and 27-year-old Ashel Tamie Lynn Ward, have since been charged with break and enter and theft.

After the couple was found at a local motel, a large amount of stolen property—including jewellery—was recovered. A loaded firearm was also seized at this time.
