As of May 20, the Ontario Ministry of Labour has required employers to post its new Employment Standards Poster in a visible workplace area.
According to this legal change, the poster must also be personally distributed to all employees. This document contains important information about various rights and requirements under the Employee Standards Act of 2000, and the Ministry hopes that its presence in the workplace will ensure that employers understand their obligations and employees know their rights.
